About Sapphire, NC - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Sapphire, North Carolina is a beautiful little mountain community in the southern Appalachian area known as “Little Switzerland”. The Sapphire Valley, which straddles the line between Transylvania and Jackson counties, is home to Whitewater Falls. At 411 feet, this local landmark is the highest waterfall east of the Rockies. The surrounding area has over 250 falls, including Granny Burrell Falls, Silver Run Falls, Toxaway Falls and Bearwallow Falls. Sapphire's mountain elevation of over 3,000 feet keeps it cool in the summer, but winters can be somewhat colder than those in the North Carolina flatlands.

Sapphire offers numerous recreation opportunities which attract visitors year-round. Anglers enjoy some of the area's best fly-fishing, and equestrians can enjoy trail riding at WhiteWater Equestrian Center. Golfers have numerous world-class courses to choose from, including those at the Country Club of Sapphire Valley, the Sapphire Valley Resort and the Wyndham Resort at Fairfield Sapphire Valley. These resorts also offer other amenities such as tennis courts, croquet lawns, spas, boating on Lake Fairfield, and dining at top-of-the-line restaurants. The Ski Sapphire Valley Resort draws winter tourists to its slopes, also offering skiing lessons and snow boarding. Snow tubing is available at the resort's Frozen Falls Tube Park.
